The Topez Desktop magnifier makes seeing printed type, pictures, handwriting, and small details easy to read. There are not many control buttons to bog down a user trying to figure out how to operate the tool, and it makes magnifying artifacts easy. Ask a librarian for help anytime if you need a demonstration. There is a user manual, too, near the machine and the machine is located in the East wing silent reading room in the Doherty library.
The Topez includes the following features:
- Autofocus creates clear view without any need to make adjustments
- Increase or decrease brightness
- Use the position locator beam, to mark the center of the image for easy document placement
- 16 magnification levels with a crisp, sharp image allows the precise adjustments to examine materials at different levels of focus
